This service is complementary and non-clinical in nature.

  • Guidance for loved ones who want to feel more present and less overwhelmed
  • Companioning that honours dignity, humanity, and each person’s unique path

What is a death doula?
A death doula provides non-medical, holistic support to individuals and families before death, at end of life, and sometimes in the early stages of grief. This includes emotional presence, spiritual care, and compassionate listening to help families feel more grounded during a difficult time.

Is a death doula the same as a nurse, therapist, or funeral director?
No. A death doula does not replace medical, legal, or funeral professionals. This role is complementary and focuses on presence, emotional support, spiritual comfort, and guidance where appropriate.

What is palliative massage?
Palliative massage is gentle, adapted touch offered to support comfort at end of life. It is not focused on treatment or rehabilitation, but on easing the body, calming the nervous system, and offering moments of connection through touch.
As a Registered Massage Therapist, sessions are thoughtfully adapted to each person’s condition, energy level, and preferences. This may include light touch, stillness, or simply supportive presence through contact.
At times, touch becomes a way of communicating care when words are no longer needed.

Who is this service for?
This service may be supportive for individuals with a life-limiting illness, those planning ahead, families caring for a loved one, or anyone seeking a more supported and meaningful experience around dying.

What kind of support can be included?
Support may include emotional conversation, bedside presence, palliative massage, guidance around wishes and legacy, family support, and gentle rituals or grounding practices where appropriate.

Where are sessions offered?
Sessions may be offered virtually or in person, depending on need, location, and availability.

How do I know if this is the right fit?
A brief connection call or initial consultation can help determine whether this support feels aligned for you or your family.

Care is always adapted to each individual. In some cases, massage may be modified or deferred depending on health status. Safety, comfort, and dignity are always prioritized.

You don’t have to navigate this alone.
