Olive Oil (Olea europaea)
Olive oil is extracted from the fleshy part of the ripened fruit of the olive tree and has been used for centuries for its various healing properties. Used topically, it is extremely moisturizing helping to keep the skin healthy and nourished all year round. Star ingredient in our hand crafted olive oil soap.
Bergamot (Citrus aurantium bergamia)
This essential oil, derived from the small orange-like fruit, is fruity sweet with spicy floral undertones. It has analgesic and antidepressant qualities. Along with Neroli (orange blossom), Bergamot is also one of the most pleasing, sedating and uplifting oils used in aromatherapy. Included in our soap for its sharp keen encouraging scent.
Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia)
Steam distilled from the flowers and stalks of the plant, this calming, fresh, herbaceous, floral-like essential oil has anti-bacterial, antiseptic, and anti-fungal properties. Included in our soap for its ability to soothe inflamed skin and fosters regeneration of skin cells while having a steadying effect on the psyche.
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
This powerful fresh, vibrant, herbaceous essential oil is derived from flowers and leaves of plant. Some of its properties are analgesic, antidepressant, antiseptic, astringent, nervine and tonic. It stimulates circulation and metabolism of the skin. Soap ingredient is known for its energizing and uplifting aroma; promotes mental clarity; stimulates sensitivity and increases creativity by lifting exhaustion and awakening the heart.
Lemon (Citrus limonum)
Derived from the peel of the fruit. This crisp, clean, fresh citrus oil has alkalizing, antiseptic, diuretic, and tonic properties. Its stimulating, cleansing, refreshing, uplifting scent dispels sluggishness and indecision - aids clear thinking.
Annatto seed powder (Bixa Orellana)
Annatto seeds grow inside the spiny fruits of the achiote tree. Annatto powders primary use through history has been as a colouring agent. Used as a natural colourant.
